O-An Zendo: Zen Meditation and Spiritual Center in Central Pennsylvania
O-An Zendo is home to a spiritual community, or sangha, based geographically in central Pennsylvania’s Happy Valley, the greater area surrounding State College, Pennsylvania, host of Pennsylvania State University’s main campus. Sangha members include current Penn State students, graduate students, and professors, retired professors, along with many not directly associated with the university in any way. Dedicated, long-time practitioners along with newcomers to meditation and/or Buddhism find their home at O-An. What binds us together is a dedication to awakening to the present moment. O-An is a place to take refuge in the three Buddhist gems of Buddha (this very moment), Dharma (spiritual teachings), and Sangha (spiritual community).
