O-An Zendo is located in the residential community of Julian Woods 1.5 miles north of the village of Julian on Alternate US Route 220 (S. Eagle Valley Road) approximately midway between Port Matilda and Milesburg (10 miles from either one). It is 9 miles west of State College, Pennsylvania, in Centre County. |

From downtown State College : Take Business Route 322 West, which is North Atherton Street, until it merges with US Rt 322 West.Take the exit to Philipsburg/Altoona, continuing on Rt 322W up Skytop Mountain. Coming down the mountain, take the US-220 Alternate North Exit bearing right toward Milesburg. At the village of Julian, continue 1.47 miles. Turn left at the green street sign, Julian Woods Lane, which is an unpaved road. (There is also a tall wooden sign Julian Woods Community.) Follow the lane up the hill 1.2 miles to the signpost at the driveway that says O-An Zendo, 1 Endless Circle. Park on either side at the top of the driveway. Shortcut from downtown State College From Port Matilda (coming from Altoona/Philipsburg) From Milesburg (Interstate 80 interchange) Walk up the stone path through the arbor to the entrance. On entering, please keep silence. Please remove your shoes in the entry. Go through the double doors, turning immediately right, up the stairs to the meditation hall. |
